Farewell Todos Santos, The Journey Continues

When Neeley and I started planning for our trip around the world, we wanted to start with something that was just sitting around at a beach and decompressing from our previous life. We chose Todos Santos because it looked like a good place to relax and chill. It has been and we’ve had a wonderful time staying here, going to the beach and sampling fish tacos. This past week we managed to hang out at the beach most of the time, but we also took time to  visit San Jose del Cabo, and also started planning the next stage of our trip. We also survived hurricane/tropical-storm Blanca as she passed through. Thankfully, she caused very little damage.

But our plan is to see the world, not just one town.  So we move on, heading out of Todos Santos onward to San Jose del Cabo tomorrow.

Announcing our next photography workshop: “Christmas Italian Style”

A 2 on the Run photography workshop lead by award-winning photographers, Neeley and Matt Drown

December 20 – December 30, 2015 (10 nights)

Imagine Rome, one of the worlds most beautiful and photographic cities, dressed in glorious holiday lights and colors, the shop windows filled with candies and toys, and her famous market stalls overflowing with delicious Roman treats of the season. Now imagine photographing Rome without the overwhelming crowds of tourists. But why imagine? Why not join us as we photograph Rome and all of its rich visual history and beautiful celebration of the season? Celebrate in the city that gave us both the Pagan holiday and the Christian holiday that we now call Christmas.

Fifteen Hundred Miles

Fifteen hundred miles and we made it! We had a few hiccups along the way, but Neeley and I have just spent the past week decompressing and we are slowly acclimating to a different lifestyle.

While we finished prepping for our departure, we crashed at the home of our gracious friends, Frances and Jonathan, who live in Berkeley. The truck needed a bit of work – oil change, fluid flush, etc. We bought a spare five-gallon gas can and water can just in case of emergencies. Then we had to prep our laptops, put together first aid and medical supplies, and most importantly, catch up on sleep. The two weeks prior to moving out were non-stop and we were exhausted.
